Never Look Back: the unread RPG
A downloadable TTRPG experiment
This weirdly named project is an unfinished, and probably unplayable, TTRPG. Written straight ahead ( without looking back as it were) in an effort to get my game writing out of my own head. I start a new document ever time I work on it and only compile everything into the main doc once a month.
I have been making game stuff for many years. Until recently only ever seen by my friends or abandoned in a plethora of notebooks. After I finally decided to publish a few things online I hit a nasty writer's block. So I came up with this weird exercise.
If you're reading this then I hope you find something to enjoy in my "game design". If you do, or if it sparks some good ideas or your own I'd love to hear from you. However, do keep in mind that if you make reference to something I've written here I am forbidden to read it by my own dumb rules.
If complaining about things that suck is what gives you life, then feel free to dump all over this game in the comments. I'll be flattered that you read closely enough to complain but am still forbidden to read anything about what I've already written.
How long can I keep this up? Will I ever read it? Will I write a "real" game someday?
I guess you can follow along to find out...
Cheers,
Jason
